Shelter exhibit opening in Philadelphia

I’m very excited to say that some of my work will be on view in a collaborative exhibit put on by Philadelphia Sculptors and the Da Vinci Art Alliance.  The show, entitled Shelter, presents work from 21 artists and addresses the following questions:

“How does one define shelter? Is it a place to call home or the fear of not having one; a place of protection from environmental, political, social or physical dangers? Or is it a state of mind, an abstract concept, an interpretation of what a safe place should be or could be? What does shelter mean for immigrants in search of better lives in America today? Can one find solace in a sacred place and can the human body serve as a sanctuary to protect us from the bombardment of information infusing our daily lives and the adversities of the outside world?”

The show runs September 5 – 23, 2018, and there will be a public reception on Wednesday, September 5, 6-8 pm.  If you’re in the area, I would love to see you there!

Techne exhibit open!

Some of my work (which won first prize!) is currently in a show on art and science at Arthaus Projects, in Williamsport, PA.  The exhibit runs through August 11.
